General InformationThe NewfNet discussion forum is the best place around for getting to know the breed- a friendly (usually) online hangout for Newfie people. The Newf Friends blog, run by a Canadian volunteer group, is relatively new, but already appears to be an excellent source of information, with a particular emphasis on Newf Rescue. Capriccio Farms- this breeder's page has an incredible wealth of information about selecting and caring for a Newfoundland dog. An outstanding resource! A useful page from two Canadian Newfie lovers : "Is The Newfoundland Right For You?" Interested in the origin of the breed? The AKC Newfoundland History page has a brief summary. Do you have kids? Grandchildren? Do the neighbors' kids ever come by? Before you get a Newfie, make sure to read The Nana Image, a thought-provoking discussion of Newfs and kids.
